The Manga Memoirs Blogs!

My final blog about the seven other stories in the anthology will not be as long as the others, mostly because Holden was already covered in far greater depth when I reviewed what I liked about A Walk in the Park.
I love the action in this story - it will really give the artist a chance to show their stuff. There are also some very nice glimpses into the world of mixed martial arts, and especially into the importance of the martial arts to the Japanese people. Honor and respect. As long as a warrior behaves in an honorable fashion he is treated with respect. A great lesson brought home without getting on a soapbox.
Holden totally deserved his two entries in the book thanks to his wonderful experiences in Japan and his strong writing. Well done.

It looks a lot like Fist of the North Star

Thank you again TK... It was very cool of you to take the time to share your thoughts on each of the books in the collection. No question, "Fist of the North Star" definitely provided a significant influence for this one.

Welcome, and if you were influenced by this North Star Fist I will definitely have to seek that one out!
