Bittersweet?

This is simple an observation, and I haven't really looked into this in great detail, but these memoirs, don't they all have a bittersweet element to them? hope, loss, destruction, beauty, letting go, discovery... just a thought.

    A very accurate observation :) They're all pretty true to life, containing a wide range of emotion.

    All except mine. And Dylan's and Nick's. Then there is J-Mick and both of Holden's. Yep, except for those ones you are right on! Okay, silliness aside, I think you nailed it Carmen. Most of the stories do have a real bittersweet element to them.

    That's the problem with 'real-life' stories. We can't craft them according to our wishes. They reflect our own journey in trying to make sense of the events of our lives.
